Nicki Minaj father dies-pook

Authorities have jailed the man that supposedly killed rap artist Nicki Minaj’s 64- old dad Robert Maraj in a hit-and-run incident in New York that took place lately.
Authorities have actually apprehended the man who apparently killed rap artist Nicki Minaj’s 64- old father Robert Maraj in a hit-and-run occurrence in New York that took place just recently.

Robert Maraj was walking along a road in Mineola on Long Island at 6:15 p.m on Friday when he was struck by an automobile that kept going, Nassau County police said. Maraj was required to a health center, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday.

Nassau County Police held an interview where they introduced the apprehension of Charles Polevich. According to authorities, the 70-year-old was driving the vehicle that struck and killed Maraj on the evening of February 12.

“Polevich reportedly asked Robert Maraj if he was okay after hitting him but didn’t call for help.

Polevich is out on bail following an arraignment in Nassau County court. His driver’s license was suspended, he was ordered to surrender his passport and isn’t allowed to leave the state.

“He was absolutely aware of what happened,” Nassau County Police Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick said at a news conference.

“He got out of the car and he looked at the deceased, got into his car, and made the conscious decision to leave instead of dialing 911, instead of calling an ambulance for the man,” Fitzpatrick said. “He went home and secluded the vehicle. He’s well aware of what he did.”

Maraj was struck by the car Friday evening while walking along Roslyn Road in Mineola. He was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead the next day.

Nicki Minaj’s mother, Carol Maraj, says she’s happy the suspect is in custody. “I’m very, very, very happy about the arrest,” she told News Day. “
